Hello wonderful people inside of the internet, and welcome to the end of another week on planet earth. The main event this week was christmas, and i celebrated by waking up early and going to class. Luckily i only had one class, so after that i was able to go home and relax a bit.

The big task that i decided to take on this week was to close all my browser tabs before the new year. I still have quite a way to go, but i’ve done about five hundred so far, and i’ve been adding all of the ones i think are still interesting to my links page.

It’s kind of crazy; i’ve only been accumulating these links for about a year, but already there have been ten or so which 404. I don’t think that i can be upset about this, as i don’t believe that it is reasonable to expect people to permanently host things, or ensure paths don’t change, but i was surprised at how many sites seem to last for such a short amount of time.

In many ways, i’d been using tabs as a kind of to-do list, with lots of articles about emacs hanging around and waiting for me to make some changes to my configuration. So before closing the tab, i’ve been adding little snippets in if i’m still interested. Other pages no longer interest me at all, and seeing their tab still patiently waiting serves to remind me of what i was thinking about so long ago.

This evening we watched The gods must be crazy, which we’ve been intending to watch at the newly-christened cinema du noa’s house for quite some time, but have never quite got around to for various reasons. I was expecting the worst, but in fact it was pretty good. There was a lot of slapstick which i was not expecting but which was done with love.

Well, that brings us to now; i am sitting in bed, i will sleep soon. When i finish writing this i will spend some time reading until i get drowsy. We are almost at the end of a semester, which means there is a lot to do.

Until next time, stay wonderful.
